Built for the way African businesses already sell
Most small businesses do not sell through a website. They sell through conversations. Zatar is software for exactly that.
Why Zatar exists
A customer asks. You answer. They ask again, decide, pay, then wait and ask where their order is. For a small business, all of it happens in chat, on one phone.
The tools around it pick one half: websites that wait for customers to arrive, or support inboxes built for big teams. Neither starts from the conversation, which is where the sale happens, and where it is most often lost.
Zatar starts there. A customer opens a QR code or a link, and lands in a chat built around what that business sells. An assistant answers the easy things, a person takes the rest, and the order, the booking, the payment and the customer record are all connected from the first message.
In the founder’s words: the future of business is not websites or apps, it is conversations that directly drive action.
Four rules we will not break
An assistant must not make things up
MAY reads your real prices, stock and hours, and says what you wrote. If she is unsure, she hands over. This is how she is built, not a promise we hope to keep.
The customer’s tap commits, never the machine
Orders, bookings and payments happen only when the customer confirms. Nothing is committed from a sentence alone.
Trust is a feature
Owners verify their identity. Delivery is confirmed by the customer. Important changes are logged. Customers deserve to know who they are buying from.
The software bends to the business
A kitchen, a salon and a shop sell differently, so Zatar looks and talks differently for each, on one engine.
An independent founder, honestly

Zatar is built and run by one person, in Nigeria. There is no registered company yet, and we would rather tell you that than imply a bigger team. When that changes, this page and the legal pages will change with it.
Zatar is still early. We are looking for engineers, designers and thinkers who want to help shape a new category: the customer and conversational commerce operating system. If that is you, write to hello@zatar.cc.
Early, and open about it
- Early-supporter prices are real and lower than the normal prices, because early customers take a chance on something new.
- You can set up a workspace, write MAY’s Templates and FAQs and test her for free, before you spend anything.
- There are no made-up reviews, logos or numbers on this site. When customers choose to be named, we will name them.
- Everything described on this site is how Zatar works today. If something is not ready, it will not be described as if it were.
